Case Studies
The Case Studies described below are based on information provided by companies in the Automotive and Aerospace sector. Each study has been written in collaboration with employees of the company and Preactor International would like to thank those who provided these insights into how Preactor is used and the benefits it has provided.

The EUROCOPTER Group was formed from the merger of two important companies in Aerospace. First in the market with rotary wing aircraft at the beginning of the century, the original company became, over a number of years more famous and important.
 
Founded in 1977, Digicon S/A is a subsidiary of the Digicon Group, formed by three companies, Perto, Digicon and Numericon. Located in a pant covering 100,000 m² in Gravataí, Brazil, the companies work in the development, production and commercialization of products and services in the areas of industrial, commercial and banking automation. Starting in 1986, the company developed a special department for producing aircraft components inside the Digicon S/A, the DCA. Currently, this unit is responsible for production and commercialization of approximately 90 sets of Air Conditioning valves for English Hamilton Sundstrand aircraft.
 
The Metallurgical Flantech Ltda, founded in 2005, in the city of Caxias do Sul, Brazil is 130km from Porto Alegre, and is focused mainly on the production of exhaust system components for the automotive industry. Currently, the company has 10 employees, and their specialty is the production of large diameter special stainless steel short pipes and tube. Its products are delivered to major suppliers linked to car manufacturers from the centre of the Brazil, and also, more recently, outside the country. The components manufactured by Flantech can be found on brands, such as Volkswagen, Ford, Peugeot, Renault, Citröen, and General Motors.

Headquartered in Cwmbran, Wales, the £100m turnover company employs 800 people across its 2 main sites which operate as a mini supply chain with the primary manufacturing and sub assembly business directly supplying the final assembly and sales business.
 
Harmon Form Tools was formed in 1964, offering a grinding and tooling facility for the Aerospace, Defence and Commercial markets. In 1987 the company entered the machining market with the foundation of Harmon Manufacturing, initially meeting the requirements of existing customers in the Aerospace and Defence industries.
 
Trety, S.A. is a company that belongs to the French Trèves Group. The Trèves Group was founded in France the year 1836. Originally it was a familiar group that dedicated its first activities in the automotive parts sector.
 
Cosworth Racing is a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of ultra-high performance engines for racing, rally and road car application. Founded in 1958 by Mike Costin and Keith Duckworth, the company has been wholly owned by Ford since 1998, employing a workforce of over 650.
 
Pechiney Aviatube is an aluminium alloy extrusion company with an extensive UK site in Workington, Cumbria. It is primarily a manufacturer of parts for the aerospace market, for example, aluminium extruded wing supports known as stringers, which are supplied to Airbus UK.
 
Kenco Techniques, based in Kensworth, Bedfordshire, is a manufacturer of precision-machined components for the aerospace, Formula One, and micro surgical industries. Founded in 1972 under the name Kenco Engineering, it currently employs 15 people.
 
Williams & Co., a company based in Southampton, UK produce aerospace and nuclear components for companies such as Vickers, GKN Westland Helicopters, Boeing and the French Helicopter company, Aero Speciale. As the customers of Williams aim to increase their world class positions it follows that they demand more from their suppliers.
