On 14 March, 2012 in Nizhniy Novgorod, Russia, an Engineering Round-table seminar was held on "IT for manufacturing: innovations and trends in automation." Experts from the SITEK Group of companies led the discussion of the benefits of integrated solutions for enterprises, combining MES-systems and production scheduling (APS-systems) with a package of solutions for three-dimensional modeling, analysis, and automated pre-production (PLM), the integration of software instrument management (TDM).

Round-table participants were able to become familiar with the systems offered by SBU «MES» of SITEK Group, including production management in real time, ask questions and share experiences implementing automated systems. The Round-table was attended by the Heads of IT departments, Senior engineers, Heads of CAM departments, ERP-system implementation departments, Chief engineers, Chief financial officers.

"The growth of IT-technology in mechanical engineering can clearly be seen in the Nizhny Novgorod region", - said the Head of SBU «MES» of SITEK Group, Alexander Kosianenko.

According to Kosianenko, in 2011 the total volume of business SBU «MESin Russia and the CIS countries increased by 50% compared to 2010. In 2012 the company has more optimistic projections of increased sales by half. "The market for automation systems is growing rapidly,” said Alexander Kosianenko, “More and more managers of industrial enterprises came to the realization of the need to introduce new IT-technologies to optimize production and improve competitiveness."

Kosianenko noted the increasing interest of major customers in Russia, "We are seeing that companies are willing to try and install new software. This trend can clearly be seen in the Nizhny Novgorod region (Russia). A year ago there were few executives who were really interested in the use of MES-systems (automation) and APS-systems (advanced scheduling). Today I see dozens of such people who understand what exactly they want from these technologies. They have money, they are willing to invest."
