Preactor Commences European Tour Of Planning & Scheduling Excellence
Tuesday, June 28, 2011
The Preactor Group, a leading provider of Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) solutions for over 17 years, today announced details of its European Tour of Planning & Scheduling Excellence.

Currently extending to 29 events in 7 countries, the Tour provides a unique opportunity for manufacturers to meet with production planning and scheduling specialists and to share the experience of various companies from all sectors. In addition to demonstrations about the recognised benefits of Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS), manufacturers can discuss their own manufacturing challenges with Preactor experts to discover how this can benefit their own business.

The Tour has already begun in the UK, France and in Italy where attendees have appreciated the quality and variety of the presentations, as well as hearing directly from customers. Some have even attended several seminars in different locations in order to benefit from further presentations.

The Tour now heads to Spain which despite its recent recession, still shows a strong interest in learning how to benefit from APS. The first event is being held on June 29th in Barcelona.

APS is increasingly recognised as a powerful toolset to help manufacturers attain the necessary visibility, control, flexibility and agility to remain competitive in highly changeable business environments. This is mirrored by Preactor’s consistent quarterly growth averaging almost 20% since 1994 with 2010 being a record year seeing net software sales rise by 50%.

Mike Novels, Preactor CEO, comments on the Preactor European Tour:

“With over 3000 customers across 68 countries ranging from small and medium sized businesses through to global, multi-site, multi-national sector leaders, and a global team of 1000+ accredited professionals, we have a wide range of experience and expertise across all areas of production planning and scheduling. But this global authority base is comprised of specialists across many different countries all with a great deal of real-world experience at a local level. It is this combination of global and local experience that we are looking to make available to manufacturers in our European Tour. We already have over 120 documented case studies of how APS can benefit businesses in many different sectors and this is another way for us to share that knowledge with manufacturers looking to increase their competitive advantage not just for now, but also into the future.”
