Preactor International, the world’s leading specialist planning and scheduling Software Company today announced that it has been selected by Limagrain Europe for the planning of its laboratory operations at its site in Riom, France.
Limagrain Europe is one of the major field seed companies in Europe and is a subsidiary of Groupe Limagrain, the European leader in the breeding and production of corn and wheat seeds for professional growers. As a major European supplier, Limagrain Europe markets its products in approximately 50 countries through its subsidiaries and distribution partnerships.
According to Sylvain Lartiges, Head of Laboratory and Jean-Paul Maisonneuve, Head of Production for Active Genotyping, the Preactor Finite Capacity Scheduling solution was chosen to replace Limagrain Europe’s existing planning system because it was the solution best able to satisfy the company’s specific requirements for reliability and optimising resource utilisation. Preactor is also able to quickly and comprehensively take into consideration a wide range of various constraints in addition to simulating different schedules and providing ‘what if’ scenarios
Thierry Faguet, Director of Preactor Europe adds, "Our implementation team is currently working on completing the interface with Limagrain Europe’s existing business system and we anticipate that this should become operational in the coming weeks."
