Preactor Training Courses
The best way to explain how Preactor is structured is to say that it is the 'Excel of Production Scheduling'. It provides an environment to create a model or solution that meets the exact requirements of the application.

Just as a single spreadsheet is an 'instance' of Excel so a configuration is an instance of Preactor. Many configurations or data models may be created and used in Preactor using a single license.

The User Course is designed to give the user an understanding of the available functionality. It is like being taught what the buttons and options do in Excel, it does not teach how to create the spreadsheet or model that will solve a specific problem.

It starts with a simple make to order job shop model (the fixed model used in Preactor Lite and Preactor 100 FCS) then moves to a more complex assembly environment suitable for Preactor APS users.

Note that the course is not designed to teach how to plan or schedule but to teach experienced planners how to schedule with Preactor.

After completing the user course the user can then either attend the Configuration Course to show how to, in Preactor 200 FCS and higher versions, customize the configuration or model to meet their needs, or use the services of Preactor International to do it for them.

The User, Configuration and Preactor API courses include a Buffet Lunch on each day.

Preactor International offers a Starter Pack. This provides a package that includes the standard training courses as well as services to start the process of configuring Preactor for the solution that is required. Typically the Implementation Plan will start with a Design Workshop where together we will define the Design Framework for your Preactor system.

This will lead to a Preactor Work Plan and Customer Work Plan for the project.

Additional services can then be ordered as required to complete the implementation.
