The EUROCOPTER Group was formed from the merger of two important companies in Aerospace. First in the market with rotary wing aircraft at the beginning of the century, the original company became, over a number of years more famous and important.
 
International Greetings PLC is one of the world‟s leading designers, manufacturers, importers and distributors of giftwrap, stationery, gift bags, crackers, greeting cards and accessories.
 
Wellman Hunt-Graham was formed by the merger of Hunt Thermal Engineering Limited and Wellman Graham Limited in 2005 and is now the largest manufacturer of shell and tube heat exchangers in the UK. Working from a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Dukinfield, Cheshire, the 75+ strong workforce achieved a turnover of almost £11m in the past year with approximately 40% of all goods produced being destined for export to a diverse range of worldwide markets. When the company recognised it needed to improve its delivery date accuracy, it exchanged its obsolete and ineffectual planning system for a state-of-the-art production planning and scheduling solution from Preactor.
 
Lonza is one of the world’s leading suppliers to the pharmaceutical, healthcare and life science industries with sales of CHF 2.937 billion in 2008. Its products and services span its customers’ needs at every stage from cell line construction to final product manufacture. Whilst headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, the company has a wide range of sites throughout the world that cater for its diverse areas of expertise, with its site in Slough, UK, being one of several that deals with the biopharmaceutical division of Lonza Custom Manufacturing.
 
Established in 1975 following the sell off of the Plessey’s Tool Room, Preformtools is now widely recognised as a leading solutions provider for companies requiring extremely high quality tools and components in the medical, high pressure fuel and hydraulics sectors.
 
BPT, Brevini Power Transmission, was founded in 1960 by three brothers, Renato, Luciano and Corrado Brevini, in the town of Reggio Emilia (Italy). Since then, the name of Brevini has become synonymous with planetary gear units. Today Brevini maintains a presence around the globe, with 24 subsidiaries and an extensive distribution network. The latest 10 years saw a significant increase in sales, from 86 to 284 million euro, also in jobs, from 470 to 1.000, and in output, which rose from 67.000 to 172.000 gearboxes per annum.

Mode Lighting, part of the TCL group, specialises in the design and manufacture of electronic control systems for the lighting industry. Products include residential and commercial dimming systems, electronic transformers, cold cathode convertors, LED lighting solutions and DMX controllers.
 
Supravis Group S.A., based in Bydgoszcz, Poland specializes in production of packaging for the food industry where the company's brand is known across all the cured meat producers in the domestic market. It has a significant market share in the Polish packaging market and 50% of its revenues come from overseas. Supravis’s products include multilayer casings, monolayer casings, barrier films and bags.
 
Thermopac, a member of the Rigids Division of the Astrapak Group of companies, based in Cape Town, South Africa, specializes in thermoformed plastic packaging. Thermopac operates 24/7 and has over 700 products in the market.
 
TRP Sealing Systems Ltd has grown from humble origins in 1981 to become the second largest Gasket Plate Heat Exchanger (PHE) manufacturer in the world. Plastform, a member of the Rigids Division of the Astrapak Group, based in Cape Town South Africa are the leading producer of rigid thermoformed packaging for the dairy, fresh and fast-food markets in Southern Africa. Formed products are sold in both printed and unprinted form.

In April 2007 it became part of the Irish company United Drug Plc and was previously known as Budelpack. Enestia, Greek for wellbeing, has operated for more than 50 year in Hamont, Belgium. Sharp Packaging Solutions’ business is based on taking over the responsibility of production and packaging from pharmaceutical and healthcare companies who don’t see this as their core business.
 
Solanum is one of the UK’s premier suppliers of potatoes with a reputation gained by providing quality and value for more than 60 years. A division of the £240m turnover ProduceWorld Group, Solanum is based in Sutton Bridge at the former headquarters of the Potato Marketing Board and supplies 57,000 tonnes of potatoes each year to the major UK high street retailers. When the company decided to completely review and overhaul its entire approach to production planning and scheduling, it did so with the help of Preactor.
 
Floform is a global supplier of cold formed components for the automotive, power semiconductor industries and a wide scope of applications requiring rivet fasteners. The company has been cold forming metals into complex shapes at its UK factory since 1959 and now has a specialist product range that includes electrodes for spark plugs, injector sleeves for diesel engines, heat sinks for power semiconductor devices, headed components for numerous auto electrical applications and commercial and industrial rivets.
 
PROFROID Industries has been manufacturing refrigerating equipment since 1961. Part of the CARRIER SCS Distribution Group, the French factory is located in Aubagne in the south of France.
 
Highland Spring is the leading UK produced brand and number one spring water. It is the number two overall brand in the bottled water sector in Britain; number one sparkling water brand and the leading kids’ bottled water. Working on a 24x7 basis, at maximum output this equates to up to 90,000 bottles per hour which in 2006 meant that the company bottled around 240 million litres of water.

Aquacolor is a leading Portuguese textile service company specialising in an innovative range of finishing tasks including dyeing, washing, laser, spray, brushing, sand projection and cutting.
 
Walro Flex, the trading name of BGG Cable Manufactures (Pty) Ltd., based in Johannesburg South Africa, is the leading manufacturer of automotive cables in Southern Africa. Producing amongst other items, cables used in the assembly of automotive wire harnesses.
 
MIS Engineering (Pty) Ltd, trading as MITAK, is a general heavy engineers and founders based in Johannesburg, South Africa. They are one of the leading manufacturers of wear-resistant alloys used in crushing, grinding, pumping & materials handling equipment in South Africa. They produce in excess of 10,000 Tons per annum from four Furnaces and ten Moulding Bays. Operations include moulding, casting, fettling, heat treatment and machining.

Company LIP Bled is located near Bled, a world renowned alpine resort, surrounded by the high peaks of Alps and richly forested plateaus. Founded in 1948, today it is one of the largest woods processing companies in Slovenia and the largest exporter in the sector.
 
SCA is a global consumer goods and paper company. They develop, produce and market personal care products, tissue, packaging solutions, publication papers and solid-wood products in more than 90 countries.

Foilex was founded over a decade ago and has gone from strength to strength now operating seven lamination lines 24 hours a day, servicing an enviable customer base.
 
From humble beginnings in 1860 manufacturing walking sticks and umbrellas, the company originally founded by Antoine Roset has grown to be a leading manufacturer of high quality furniture and accessories.
 
PPG Fine Chemicals is a global leader and manufacturer of custom organic chemical products and general-use fine chemical products used in pharmaceuticals, agricultural applications and many others. With facilities in the United States, Europe and Asia, the company provides its customers with pharmaceutical fine chemicals ranging from starting materials to advanced GMP intermediates through to complex APIs.
 
Grotto(Pty) Ltd., manufacturer of stainless steel tanks to order and a major supplier to the South African wine, beer, dairy and chemical industries, wanted to improve their customer delivery promising capability.

Established just after the Second World War, Willerby, with a turnover in excess of £100m and employing 650 employees at its site in Hull, UK is the market leader in the construction of Holiday Homes. Using skilled craftsmen and traditional build methods and materials, the workforce, working in departmental Silos, have been driven by a culture of ‘the more the better’.
 
Whatman International is a global leader in separations technology. It is recognised throughout the scientific community for providing innovative products and solutions, many paper-based. Indeed, for over 250 years the Whatman name has been synonymous with the finest quality paper.
 
Holland Colours NV is a global supplier of innovative and cost effective colour and additive concentrates to a number of select markets including Building and Construction, Plastic Packaging and Silicones and Elastomers. Founded and headquartered in Apeldoorn, NL, Holland Colours has multiple production facilities across different continents, which between them coloured over two million tons of plastic products in 2005.
 
Hitchen Foods, based in Wigan, supplies a comprehensive range of added value vegetables and salad based products to the major multiple retailers and food service sector. First established in 1945, Hitchen Foods now prepares over 100,000 meals a day, created to exacting recipes developed by the company’s own top chefs.
 
Harmon Form Tools was formed in 1964, offering a grinding and tooling facility for the Aerospace, Defence and Commercial markets. In 1987 the company entered the machining market with the foundation of Harmon Manufacturing, initially meeting the requirements of existing customers in the Aerospace and Defence industries.
 
STOCKO of Andlau, France, is one of the leading manufacturers of electro-mechanical components in Europe. Its core markets include the domestic appliances industry, heating industry, industrial electronics, consumer electronics, multimedia, telecommunication, automotive and distribution.
 
Cash Bases is the leading supplier of cash handling solutions in the form of custom designed cash drawers to the majority of the largest global names in retailing. Sectors range from Food Process through to Hospitality, Leisure and Speciality Retail.
 
Delta Biotechnology Limited was founded in Nottingham in 1984 as a pioneer business, based on yeast technology, in protein engineering and the production of biopharmaceuticals. The company has a proven track record in working with collaborative partners in the development and manufacture of new therapies.
 
The beginnings of company Liv Postojna date back to 1954, when a small workshop was founded to manufacture different steel products. Today they function as a joint-stock company and with four of their affiliate companies they are form LIV Plastika d.o.o. which is the largest of them with a modern organization and high technology standards.
 
Trety, S.A. is a company that belongs to the French Trèves Group. The Trèves Group was founded in France the year 1836. Originally it was a familiar group that dedicated its first activities in the automotive parts sector.
 
Smurfit Ward is a leading paper based packaging supplier located in Leyland, Lancashire. Ward Packaging was first established in 1980 by local Lancashire farmer John Ward as a potato sack production company, supplying sacks to other local farmers.
 
Pfizer Inc., the largest pharmaceutical company in the world, discovers, develops, manufactures, and markets leading prescription medicines for humans and animals and many of the world's best-known consumer brands. Its principal UK subsidiary, Pfizer Limited has its European Research and Development Headquarters at Sandwich in Kent responsible for the direct employment of approximately 3600 people.
 
Cosworth Racing is a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of ultra-high performance engines for racing, rally and road car application. Founded in 1958 by Mike Costin and Keith Duckworth, the company has been wholly owned by Ford since 1998, employing a workforce of over 650.
 
Yorkshire Fresh Salads, part of the market leading Geest Group, is a specialist producer of packed salad and vegetable products, supplying to household name stores such as Asda.
 
Linc’s Cuisine (Sutton Bridge), part of the Geest Group, was established on the site of an existing industrial complex in Sutton Bridge, Lincolnshire. This complex was largely demolished to make way for the current facility. The site opened in January 1999 and has been in constant production since then, currently employing around 200 staff.
 
Tilmanstone Salads, part of the Geest Group, is a specialist producer of value added packed salads. Fresh salad produce is supplied to the company from accredited growers in both the UK and Continental Europe.
 
Bourne Salads is a specialist producer of packed salad and vegetable products for a range of prestigious customers including Tesco, Safeway and Whitbread. With an annual turnover of £60 million and a workforce of up to 500 people, it is the largest site of parent group Geest. In a peak week, Bourne outputs 2 million bags of packed leaf products which equates to processing approximately 78 tonnes of raw product, supplied by up to 70 vehicles each day. With varying orders arriving on a daily basis to deliver the next-day it is clearly a sizeable operation and one which requires state-of-the-art planning and scheduling. This is why Bourne Salads relies completely on Preactor as the heart of its planning and scheduling.
 
Founded in 1911, P P Payne is recognised globally as the leading manufacturer and supplier of pressure-sensitive tear tape to producers of consumable products. The company has manufacturing facilities in the UK, the US, South America, India and the Middle East, with the UK facility alone responsible for an output of 4.5 million square metres per month.
 
Goonvean has been extracting kaolins, china stone, feldspars, and aggregate by-products in England for over two centuries. Kaolin is a fine clay used in ceramics and refractories and as a filler or coating for paper and textiles. The feldspar quarry—the last in the United Kingdom— produces high quality ceramic fluxing agents to compliment the clays.
 
Pechiney Aviatube is an aluminium alloy extrusion company with an extensive UK site in Workington, Cumbria. It is primarily a manufacturer of parts for the aerospace market, for example, aluminium extruded wing supports known as stringers, which are supplied to Airbus UK.
